Soft start somewhat surprising

January sales in the area did little to indicate what we can expect from the 2010. Although there was an increase from January 2009, they were down from both the previous month, and January 2008 when 22 homes were sold. Throughout the month, active single-family listings failed to reach 40, so we should continue to see a fairly balanced market for February.
